This year's carol singing evening took place on Tuesday 15th December 2009. There was a good turnout of at least 30 people of all ages, which led the mince-pie providers to dash to the corner shop for extra supplies.
This year, the event was captured on video. Weather conditions were cold, but the crisp night (without rain) favoured movie-making.
Many thanks to all the musicians and singers who took part and also to local residents for giving so generously.
A record-breaking sum of £215.30 (plus one euro) was collected, which will go to the Multiple Sclerosis society.
About a hundred thousand people suffer with MS in the UK and the society helps to provide respite care as well as education and training, and invaluable reassurance for the recently diagnosed. Since its foundation in 1953, the charity has also raised around £50 million to fund vital research into the condition.
